How To Overcome Laziness

Let’s admit it laziness is one of the reasons why we don’t reach our goals. I understand this because every day I have a battle. Despite I really love to reach my business goal, I always struggle to win over my laziness.

I believe you also have a battle too. Here is my tip. If you want to win over your laziness, you should know how to imagine.

For me, there are 2 things that motivate me to force myself to work.

1. Imagine the positive outcome/feelings if you reach your goals

2. Imagine the negative outcome/feelings if you don’t do what you suppose to do.

Let me explain the first one. Before I do my task I imagine first what are the positive feelings this task will produce if I finish it.

For example, my task is to read a business book for 30 minutes every day. Most of the time I don’t feel doing it. But in order for me to get motivated, I imagine if I finish reading this book:

1. I will acquire knowledge

2. When I acquire knowledge, my business will improve

3. When it improves, I can earn money

4. When I earn money, I can provide the needs of my loved ones

5. I imagine we are eating our favorite foods, I imagine the happiness on their faces, I imagine that we are traveling for a vacation, etc…

On the contrary, if I don’t do my task. I imagine the worse things that would happen to my loved ones.

I hope you get the point.

“if your negative thought tells you to do it tomorrow, your dream pushes you to make progress today.”

Of course, we are not perfect. There will be a time that you want to lay down on bed doing nothing. But you must understand that it’s a bad habit. And we should not tolerate our bad habits.

We should always think and plan on how to break those bad habits. We should always improve.

Again, if you want to reach your dreams and goals, we must win over our laziness. In order to do that, we should imagine a positive and negative outcome.

God bless your journey, my friend.
