2 Winning Habits To Help You Stop Complaining

Stop Complaining

With the adjustments around us clearly visible due to the pandemic, you may have a lot of questions and complaints in mind. Like, why is this happening and why do you need to work from home?  Truthfully, these questions were asked by almost all people just like you. However,  not everyone allowed these questions to affect their lives. Even with the world shutting down, one thing you must bear in mind is that a good entrepreneur’s habits should be observed at all times.

An entrepreneur’s habits are the key factors in success. When they think of the good things instead of constantly questioning the situation, they become the most productive version of themselves during that moment.

We all know complaining is a bad thing; there’s nothing revolutionary about it. No one ever truly thrives if all they do is complain about the circumstance they are in.

Indeed, changing this type of behavior doesn’t happen overnight. However, there are habits that you can enforce in your lifestyle. We made a list of entrepreneur’s habits to help you stop complaining.

1. An entrepreneur’s habit should be focusing on the good thing

Changing your whiny attitude is not as easy as telling yourself to “stop complaining.” If you want to change in the long run, you need to approach it as changing a habit. Give this entrepreneur’s habit a go if you get discouraged when things go bad. It goes like this:

When you find yourself in the middle of a challenge or a difficult situation, try to focus on the good thing. You see, it does not directly tell you to stop complaining as you are still at the beginning of the process. Instead, this habit states the possibility of something good emerging out of something bad.

It requires you to focus on the good first. You can do that by saying “good” every time something goes wrong. For example, your plan got canceled. Good, at least you can focus on another one. You didn’t get promoted. Good. You got more time to do better.

There’s always an advantage in every disadvantage. This is the perfect entrepreneur habit to adopt if you are thinking about how you can change your attitude.

2. Contemplate when big things go wrong

It’s easy to stop complaining when it’s only a small thing that goes wrong. Who cares when your mug broke when you can buy a new one? It’s just a minor problem.

But when big things go wrong—like when a big project got postponed due to the pandemic— it’s hard to bring your “don’t complain” attitude to life. That’s exactly the problem.

You can’t just pick where to struggle if you want to adhere to a certain lifestyle. You can’t just apply your attitude towards the small problems while completely dismissing the big problems. How do you hold back when big things go wrong? Do you complain or have you trained yourself enough to focus on the good thing?

This time of pandemic is the perfect time to measure yourself. You have all the time for yourself and for the mentality you want to improve.

Keep in mind that when X (problem) happens, you can focus on Y (good solutions). This is but a simple technique but it’s a good reminder that there’s always a solution for every problem.
